How to organise your blogging effectively

I adore blogging, but there's a ton of behind the scenes work that can take up a lot of time.

In addition to writing each blog post, I also need to:
  • Find / take pictures (that I'm legally allowed to use) to go with the post
  • Spend time building relationships and promoting blog posts via Twitter and Facebook
  • Consult with PR and companies on product review and give away opportunities
  • Organise travel arrangements and sponsership for conferences
  • Plan ahead for future blog posts
  • Create products that will help my readers take their organising to the next level
On top of that I'm also working on:
  • My one on one and virtual organising services
  • Guest posting for other blogs
  • Finding like minded bloggers to guest post here
  • Visiting the blogs of my readers and getting to know them better
Plus, I really need to make sure my work life balance is intact and spend quality time with my family.. and keep my own life organised!

It's work I LOVE doing.

But WOW, it's a lot of work.

Blogging is like everything else: If you aren't organised, it can become overwhelming and stressful. Emails and products can get lost, commitments can be forgotton, and time management can go out the window. If this happens you could end up spending all your time trying to catch up instead of working on the vision you have for the future of your blog.

If you are blogger and can relate to this at all, I think you'll love the product I'm going to tell you about.

I love The Organised Housewife - I could stay on Katrina's blog for hours. So I was thrilled to come across this blog planner recently. It took me about 5 seconds to decide to buy it and I am so glad I did.

I've been using it for the last couple of weeks and I'm amazed at how easy it is for me now to keep track of everything to do with my blogging. This planner covers everything, it has planning sheets for your blog posts, sheets that cover product review and sponser information, helps you organise your travel for conferences, and even has pages to help you balance blogging with your family life.

It's really helped me streamline my blogging so I have more free time and am not forgetting to do anything - which means I am a lot more professional with my blogging. I don't know what I would do without it now!

For a product that provides such great value, it's really affordable. You can buy it as a download for $14.95. A link gets emailed to you after you purchase, then you just print it out, put it in a binder and you are ready to get planning!

Whether you are looking to make money from your blog, or you just want to find a bit more of a balance with your blogging, I highly recommend clicking on the flashing image below for more information:

  3. I have been organising my blogging my own way but of course am interested in seeing what others do and create.

My blog is Home Life Simplified and I write about parenting, household management, organising, productivity, personal development and mental health.

  4. This looks really interesting and would love to win. My blog is my creative hub to share my writing, both blog and books, and soon will be where I combine my writing with my design as I am studying graphic design.
