My favourite simple ways to enjoy the Easter holidays

Easter in our house means crafts, bunnies, eggs and chocolate, and with Autumn now here in Australia it’s a great time to cozy up at home too.

These Easter holidays, I’ll be turning to simple ways to enjoy this time of year with my family, in a way that is stress and mess free!

Here’s what I’m looking forward to these Easter holidays:

  • Making Easter biscuits the easy way using milk arrowroots, icing and lollies
  • Taking the kids to the movies (with recliner seats for extra comfort) while school is out
  • Dying Easter eggs and having an egg cracking contest with my extended family
  • Chocolate for breakfast on Easter Sunday
  • Sitting outside around the fire pit on a cold afternoon with a glass of wine and a book
  • Toasting marshmallows with the kids
  • Simple dinners like grazing platters, fish and chips, baked potatoes over the campfire, soup and crusty bread
  • Having hot cross buns for afternoon tea (especially fruit free ones for me!
  • Working on my latest 1000 piece puzzle
  • Board games with the kids
  • Lots of cups of tea

I think it’s safe to say Easter for me will be all about slow, relaxing days with plenty of treats and cosy touches :)

I’ve saved a bunch of my favourite ideas for Easter on this Pinterest board if you’d like to have a look!
