I used to dread Sunday evenings.
That low-grade anxiety as the weekend wound down and the week ahead loomed. The feeling of not being ready. Of already being behind before Monday had even started.
The thing that changed it wasn't doing more. It was doing a little of the right things, at the right time.
Here's the Sunday prep routine that made my weeks feel genuinely manageable:
→ Menu plan for the week. Even a rough one. Just knowing what's for dinner each night removes so much daily decision fatigue.
→ A grocery order or shop to match. No mid-week scrambles, no 5pm panic about what to cook.
→ Look at the week's calendar together as a family. Who needs to be where, when. What's coming up that needs prep.
→ Prep one or two things for the week ahead - a batch of snacks, lunches prepped for the first couple of days, a pot of something easy for a busy night.
→ Set your own intention for the week. One thing you want to feel, or one thing you want to make happen.
The whole routine takes me about an hour, sometimes less. But it means I start the week feeling like I'm in it, not behind it
